International Women’s Day Brunch hosted by the European Australian Business Council

EABC Board Member and ING Australia CEO Melanie Evans will once again co-host the EABC's International Women’s Day event and moderate the discussion with a distinguished panel of corporate leaders, including PwC Managing Partner Sydney and Deputy Chair of The Committee for Sydney Sue Horlin; Thales Australia Chair and Chancellor of the University of Sydney Belinda Hutchinson AC; and Telix Pharmaceuticals Chair and former Macquarie Group Chair Kevin McCann AO, one of the founding members of the Champions of Change Coalition.

The United Nations theme for International Women’s Day in 2022 is “Changing Climates: Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. Sustainability and inclusion are among the most important drivers of corporate and institutional performance, with intensifying focus on evaluation and reporting to regulators, shareholders and customers. This event has confirmed an eminent group of leaders to discuss how their organisations are addressing these challenges, and how embedding ESG in business strategy will lead to more sustainable and resilient performance in the long-term.

A priority for the EABC is to increase our advocacy for gender equality, diversity and inclusion. This event is an opportunity to also reflect on shared challenges and different perspectives between Europe and Australia, and to gain valuable insights from the eminent panel of speakers.

This event was attended on behalf of the Norwegian Chamber by Sophia Demetriades.
