May 17th Celebration in Sydney

Dear Members and Friends,

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the Norwegian Constitution Day on Saturday, 17 May 2025, in collaboration with ANSA and Sjømannskirken 

What to expect
With this year's national day falling on a Saturday, we’re planning an even bigger and better celebration — and we’d love for you to be part of it.

There will be hot dogs, waffles, cakes, and soft drinks available for purchase. We will also have games for children and a raffle with fantastic prizes.

BYO alcoholic drinks allowed.

Please note that this is a non-profit, volunteer-run event. All proceeds help cover food, venue hire, and materials for the parade banner.

Can you help?
We are looking for volunteers to bring cakes for the celebration! If you can contribute, please email us to let us know what you can bring. Please feel free to bring little gifts for the kids.

Program 
12:00 – Doors open | Coffee, tea, cakes, waffles & hot dogs for sale
13:30 – Speeches by Stig Falster, President of the Norwegian Australian Chamber of Commerce, and Håvard Osland, Chaplain at Sjømannskirken
13:45 – National Anthem
15:00 – 17. mai tog (TBD, depends on the weather)
