Dear Members and Friends,

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the Norwegian Constitution Day on Sunday, 17 May 2026, in collaboration with ANSA and Sjømannskirken.

What to expect
With this year's national day falling on a Sunday, we’re planning an even bigger and better celebration - and we’d love for you to be part of it.

There will be hot dogs, waffles, cakes, and soft drinks available for purchase. We will also have games for children and a raffle with fantastic prizes.

BYO alcoholic drinks allowed.

Please note that this is a non-profit, volunteer-run event. All proceeds help cover food, venue hire, and materials.

Can you help?
We are looking for volunteers to bring cakes for the celebration! If you can contribute, please email us to let us know what you can bring. We also need 5 people who can bring 10 plates of pre-made waffles each and 3 people who can bring a waffle maker. Please feel free to bring little gifts for the kids.

IMPORTANT NEW PROGRAM FOR 17 MAI!

We are excited to announce that H.R.H. Prinsesse Ingrid Alexandra will attend our event which will be her first ever official public appearance in her royal duties. The princess will be accompanied by her adjutant and the Norwegian Ambassador to Australia, HE Anne Grete Riise.

Media will be present at the event, which will be recorded and aired in Norway as part of the official 17 Mai program on NRK.
